I am very pleased to announce that Chattagram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital Medical College (CMOSHMC) is about to complete 18 years. I joined this medical college in 2007. It amazes me to see activities of this institute at private level. This kind of institution is rare in our country. I have no hesitation to eulozise that this is a great achievement.
The parent organisation of this college is Chattagram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital . It has more than 9,000 life members. They elect an Executive Committee/Trustee Board for 3 years . This Executive Committee/Trustee Board is the supreme authority for policy making and implementation . The medical college has a capacity to enroll 115 students in each session. Meanwhile thirteen batches of students have passed out who are working in various hospitals / medical colleges of Bangladesh and abroad . The mission and vision of this college is to produce quality doctors and to provide state of art of health services. It is a non-profitable and semi charitable organisation .
This institute began in 1979 and stepped forward a long Journey till today. It has become a full-fledged organisation today. All clinical activities have already been shifted to the new hospital building. The demolition of the old building and the construction of the new academic building will begin immediately.
This institution has an 899 bedded General Hospital, a full-fledged Medical College, Institute of Child Health (M.D. and D.CH. Courses), Nursing Institute (B.Sc and Nursing Diploma) etc. CMOSH Cancer Institute and Research Center has already started its activities.
